The Société des Régates de Brest has been organising international regattas since it was founded in 1847, and is delighted to have been chosen by the International Europe Class Union to host the 2009 IECU world championships, and the Open Week which is to precede it.
We wish to extend our sincere thanks to the local authorities including Brest Métropole Océane whose wide support will be a determining factor in the success of this fortnight of international grade regattas in Brest bay. We should also like to express our gratitude to the Fédération Française de Voile, as well as to the Conseil Régional de Bretagne and the Conseil Général du Finistère for their support and finally our thanks to l’Association Française de la Classe Europe and the IECU.
This website contains all the information you will require to enter the event and to come to Brest. We look forward to meeting you upon your arrival in Brest and welcoming you to our club house prior to your first sail on our beautiful bay. May we take this opportunity of wishing you the best of luck in the tradition of fair sailing for this event.
